Help cats across Western North Carolina.
In 2022, the Asheville Cat Weirdos Emergency Fund (Emergency Veterinary Assistance Program) helped over 100 cats with vet expenses totaling $133,000! The more we do, the more we realize our program is desperately needed in the area, and we’re expected to grow in 2023 and beyond.
We provide a way for you to give back to animals in need.

We love cats (sometimes more than people) and we know how important they are to individuals. They are family, and when they are in trouble we feel called to help.
To create a community that will help each other when our furry friends are in trouble. They can't help themselves, but we can provide the means in order to help save their lives.
Our mission is to help cat owners of Western North Carolina with emergency veterinarian costs, cat food and litter, and spay/neuter services. Our goal is to make sure every owner can keep their cat regardless of the associated costs.

We love our members! They generously provide the money needed to take care of cats in need in the Western North Carolina area.
Falsely informing your vet that you are receiving funds from ACWEF will result in application denial and permanent ineligibility for assistance. Cases found to be fraudulent are subject to legal action.
